velvet finishes gave color to my world

I am happy to be a part of the Fab Furniture Flipping Contest once again this month. This month the theme for the contest is “Color My World“ sponsored by Velvet finishes paint. The cutest little boy who colors my world would get something colorful to brighten his.  Soon as I saw the theme I chose these great colors.  To do a piece for my grandson only I had no idea what to do.  I decided to run out to a thrift store to see if I could find him a bookcase.  His room at his mom and dad’s home is in need of a bookshelf/toy shelf.

Well I did happen to find this great big tall one but atlas it was not meant to be.  I was unable to fit it in the car I was driving so I had to go back in and find another piece well.  Low and behold there was this girlish yet sturdy I could tell previously DIY book shelf that could use some new color in its world.  So I brought this baby home and got to work giving it new color.  I choose from Velvet finishes great color gallery.  The following two colors:

Boheme

Avant-garde and cool. This beautiful shade of turquoise is perfect. Not too green, not too yellow. Just perfect

Modern

Contemporary, cutting-edge and fresh. This bold blue is strong and spectacular

  1. Love it Anj! The colors are perfect for him and all of his toys. Glad you were able to take off the scalloped edge, it looks much cooler with the stripes.
