Transformed Treasures Tuesday no 1

Hi folks this is my new weekly series Transformed Treasures Tuesday no 1, where I will show you some Transformed Treasures.  You already know I thrift, I give you a weekly report of my finds on Thursday’s.  So now I want to show you all what I do with my finds.  How I change or improve them.  How I make new uses for old stuff.  I will showcase some of my old transformations as well as show you anything new I’ve been working on.

I will even highlight anything you might transform if you email me at arodblog@hotmail.com subject: Transformed Treasures Tuesday, with a before and after picture.  Show me what you got!!

Transformed Treasures Tuesdays no 1

When you go thrift shopping as I’ve said before, it’s not like going to Macy’s.  You should have an idea of what your looking for but keep an open mind.

Here’s my list for this year as to what I am on the lookout for.

All those treasures pictured above are in need of there transformations.  And will appear here soon.  Today I have a mirror I picked up for $ 2.99 yes that is cheap right.  The frame is plastic but has pretty details. Don’t you think?IMG_8293

I see potential for a real beauty.  Do you??IMG_8331

It just took maybe 10 minutes to use some of my left over MS Textured paint.  I did just an easy outline.IMG_8333

And wha laaaaaaaIMG_8329I put this frame in my honey’s house as we are staying there more often for the time being.  Every girl needs a pretty mirror. Right?

Don’t forget to come back here on Friday for our Meet the Neighbors linky party.  First Friday of the month is a social media party. Come link up and meet some virtual neighbors.

Love this-especially the mirror! I’ve been thinking about how to redo my mirror as well to make it more of a piece than just a mirror! Very cool.
