Transformed Treasures Tuesday no 14

Transformed Treasures Tuesday no 14 is an extra coffee table I’ve had lying around for quite some time now.  Who doesn’t have an extra coffee table lying around?  Ok so maybe I really am a furniture hoarder.  As I look back threw my pictures of this table I find that I started work on it way back in July.  When I’m pretty sure my daughter picked up this little curbside treasure for me.  She saw this little table on her way home one day.  Right away called me and sent a picture and I of coarse said bring it on home.  It was all painted a sloppy coat of white.  But I could see where someone was going with it.  I ended up stripping just the top.  I then stained it with some min-wax in Jacobean.  It’s a personal favorite shade of mine.  {used here on coffee table re re-do}  On the bottom I just gave it a new coat of old white chalk paint.  And then it just kinda went to sit in my craft room.  I’ve now pulled this baby out and am using it for taking pictures of my thrifty finds.  You will see it as the back drop for my Thrift Share Thursday post.

It’s not perfect but it serves its purpose, as it’s now being used.  You can see a little more about it new uses in my follow up post to What I’m working on…

Nice backdrop for your projects. I have a table like this and so does my sister who is also repainting it right now too with a white bottom, I think.

Great job. We all have our favorite backdrops, don’t we? Mine is my kitchen table. But, what I love most about this project is that you and your daughter rescued it and made it into something beautiful.
