Thrift Share Thursday no 14

I’m back for Thrift Share Thursday no 14.  I’ve gotten out to my local Goodwill’s & Unique thrift shops, as the weather the last couple of days has been quite rainy here in the north east US.  I really can’t take the heat of garage sale shopping in July.  It’s really just to much for me.  I am a much happier sun bather than sweaty shopper.  lol

I tried to make it out to the thrift shops on 4th of July did you know most holidays they hold 50% off sales.  Well it was a total bust for me.  You really need to go with a partner who will get on line while you look around and vise versa.  The lines were just insane.  So I got absolutely nothing.  Think the next holiday I might just try end of the day as opposed to first thing in the morning.  I know the early bird gets the worm.  But this bird don’t want to struggle for my worms.  I’ll take the leftovers lol.

So here is what I did get to share with you all for this

Thrift Share Thursday no 14

I do happen to be a frame hoarder and had just finally gotten my collection down to 1 big plastic bucket of just frames I have left over.  I use most my favorites on my ledges day to day in the living room.

I’m on the look out for intricate frames that I can paint and change up.  So I think 3 of these below will be up for some transformations.

xoxo Stay tunned… ARod

Cool tip that thrift shops are open on July 4th with discounts, hope I remember next year. Could you make a list of best days to thrift shop?

I try to get to the Goodwill store several days a week since it is less than five minutes from my house. I did stop at GW on the Fourth, I had not been there on a holiday before and was surprised they were open. I don’t think our local GW stores do a 50% off sale except for when an item has been there for over a month. I bought my hutch that way. It sure was ugly when I bought it, but looked great after it was painted.
