Thrift share Thursday

On a one of my quick run by the thrift shop this week.  I spent less then $10 bucks.  I wasn’t really in search of anything in particular.  Going thrift shopping is not like walking into Macy’s.  You should keep an open mind, when thrift shopping.  Have an idea of things you want.  But be open minded about what you actually find.  There’s lots of  “Diamonds in the rough”

I’m always on the look out for the following

  • White milk glass anything lol {I’m obsessed}
  • Candle holders crystal
  • Pyrex nesting bowl sets {only sets}
  • Frames

This trip I picked up what will surely be some cute updates to my apt fireplace.  As I suffer from change-aholicism {I know that’s not a real word}  I’m always ready to change up my apt fireplace.  I really wish it actually generated heat while burning.  It would make for much lower power bills.  And who doesn’t want that. I love to watch the candle light burn.

So here’s what I picked up.  A little Irish candle holder because St Patrick’s day is coming up in…

Who couldn’t use a little Irish luck.

This little shelf looks in ruff shape but I see potential

I’m in love with the big  peg light.  It’s sure to be a center piece in my apt fireplace.  IMG_7171

Lately I’ve been fascinated by old hooks.  This little beauty came home for just $2 oh yeah baby cha ching!!

  10. A Rod, I love thrift store shopping! I can’t stand paying full price when I know someone is looking to get rid of it for a discount. Just went yesterday! You’re completely right, you have to be open minded because some things may need a bit of work.
