table top revamped with OFMP

Your not going to believe this transformation.

OK if you been around here before you will believe it and even say it’s so me.  I’m very excited to announce I’ve become a brand blogger for The Old Fashioned Milk Paint Co.  and now this old table top has been revamped with OFMP.

You might remember but I’ll tell you again, I found this table on the side of the road.  I had my nephew with me and had him jump out of the car to check it out.  He gave me the thumbs up and we brought this baby home!  And then it kind of sat around here just waiting for it’s chance to be revamped.

Once I got this chance to work with this great milk paint company I knew the table top had found its turn.

If you click on the button above you can check out their site.  Their organic paint is safe not only for people, but also for the environment. The natural ingredients in the base paint are used in the food and pharmaceutical industries, and are all completely biodegradable.

Like I said this table was sitting around here for a while and I did try to stain it once, but that was a huge fail.  Not one of my finest DIY moments.  I tried to strip the stain off and that didn’t go so well either.  So I put a table cloth over it and it sat some more until this week when my Old Fashioned Milk Paint arrived.

I’ll tell you I was a little leary of this “mix your own paint” process.  But once I got to work on it all free was gone.  You use equal amounts paint to water and I mixed it up with a little wire whisk.

I fell in love… with the pitch black.

I used a chip brush to apply the paint and can’t say it enough, just fell in love with the finish,  And for a split second considered leaving this beauty like this but it was only a second.

So I went thru my stash of stencils, mixed up some new milk paint in Snow white {of coarse ;-)} and I’m sure you know happened next. I also reached for some silver to outline…Voilá!

I’m really looking forward to working with this paint some more. Fun times ahead.

Wow, I would of said done after painting it, but you did the stenciling and even used the silver too so now this junk table is something very special. I am impressed and love it, love it.
