Sept 3 Blog everyday in Sept Challenge

Day3 (Tuesday).  Why did you start blogging?

I stumbled upon blogs sometime in the middle of 2011.  And I fell hell over heels in love with all the inspiration there was to be found out there.  In September that year I had moved out of my old apartment, the first time in 12yrs.  And it was time to decorate this new place.  What better than to share every step with everyone in blog land. I started this blog in Dec and was able to chronicle the changes my new apt went thru.  I totally jumped in before realizing how many blogs there are out there.  I’m so glad I did, it’s a wonderful crazy land out here in blog land.

I have always been one to take pictures of the things I revamped at home.  Then would show anyone who talked to me for any amount of time.  Now I found my people that don’t think you painted that why?? lol Here everyone paints there stuff. It’s my heaven.  And when some other bloggers drop by  to say great job.  I’m walking on sunshine. I’ve become a better thrifter with all I’ve leaned in blog land.  I’ve become more of a dumpster diver.  I am always on the look out for a curbside rescue with potential and just about everything has potential.  Even my daughter has picked up these habits from me.  Which I think is awesome.  She has no love for the work that goes into revamping something but she will totally pick up something and bring it home for mommy to revamp.

I think being a blogger has made me less obnoxious.  Is that possible?? lol Maybe I’m more.  I no longer force my friends to look at my project phone pictures. If they happen to ask so you still working on projects now I say oh yeah check out my blog so is that more obnoxious you tell me please.  I’ll believe you.

  1. Great way to showcase your work. Wonderful forum for sure.

  2. Probably less obnoxious because it is up to them whether they want to check it out or not. Unless I guess if they feel obligated to read your blog. I always feel nervous telling people in real life that I have a blog, because either they will read it because they feel obligated to, or they won’t read it and I’ll wonder why… or they’ll read it, and not say anything bout it, and I’ll spend the rest of my days wondering if they’re silently judging me!

It’s way less obnoxious to direct them to your blog than to make them look at pictures. I have found my friends even get into my blog..and tell me to take pictures of stuff for it!

Blogging is an awesome way to showcase DIY projects, do you use Pinterest to share them as well?

  5. It’s always a great feeling when people acknowledge something you’ve worked so hard on.
