On my mind Monday family BBQ 4th of July

Holiday’s can be such fun.  Do you hold a family BBQ 4th of July?  Well my sisters and I decided to hold one this year.  It was supposed to include one of my baby brother coming down from PA.  Last minute he had to cancel and well we party on!  One of my sista’s I’ve mentioned here before Magz is our family grill master.  She has never met a grill she didn’t want to control.  And even shows up to any BBQ with her handy dandy grilling apron.  You will get to see it below.  😉

Of course I had the place all red, white and blue ready.  Thanks to the dollar tree it cost me just a few bucks to get this place party ready.  A tablecloth and some plates, napkins and flags and we were ready to celebrate.

And of course some of thrifted finds made for pretty decor around the house.

I really liked this metal wreath find that got a prominent place on the front door.

The grandson and I wore matching 2015 old navy shirts.  Thanks to my mom who got mine and I got one for him.

You can see in the back there even the pool got a little dollar store decor.

And thanks to blogging I was able to surprise my sister the grill master with a little gift.

She loved them, said they fit like a glove.  And worked wonderfully.  We like to boil chicken and ribs in seasoning before putting them on the grill.  It cuts down on the meats grilling time.  The gloves were perfect for transporting very hot pans to the grill.  Then all you have to do is add some BBQ sauce and wha-la.

I think a pretty good time was had by all.

Stay tunned…xoxo Arod

What a great family get to together! The decor was just prefect but I have got to get my hubby those gloves. He would be sporting those every chance he got while grilling, I can just see it now!
