Old lamps get up-cycled with Pop of Color from me & Krylon.

Up-cycled lamps. I’m not sure what it is about lamps.  I will always turn on a lamp before the overhead light.  Maybe that’s why I love candles burning too, its the soft light.  Overhead lighting is just not for me.  Lamps give off soft lighting.  Who doesn’t look better in a soft light.   I’m not even sure when & where I snagged the lamp set I have upcycled today.  Maybe my collecting hoarding is getting out of control. {maybe…}

Whilst working to get my craft room under control.  I pulled out today’s lamp set.  I don’t intend to keep them in the living room, but for this post I used them there for a little staging. I don’t think they are the right height for my living room.  Plus I’m working on the some upcoming changes to my sun room which is where I think these will end up.

Here’s my living room regularly with the lamps I had upcycled this spring.  {Read here.}  I used Krylon to upcycle below and surprise I’m using them again.

For these lamps I decided  to go for a pop of color.  I ran to Wal-Mart and picked up a couple of cans of Krylon.  Blue ocean breeze.  I have a feeling I’m really going to like and might need a pop of this color in some other projects.

Here‘s peek at the before.  These lamps were in need of a revamp.  Serious need see.

 http://makinmyaptahome.com/2013/11/old-lamps-get-…from-me-krylon.html ‎ It was a breezy day outside today, so I decided to paint inside.  Not my best idea.  On beautiful days I would much rather spray paint outside.

IMG_7308 I always use a box for spray painting, and wrap the cord & top in plastic bags.

I gave a preview on my instagramIMG_7331 So here’s the staged picture.  With them in my living room.  DSC_3321

I think I might want to change the color of my lamps in here.  But I don’t like the size of these lamps in there.

Like I said before I think I like them for the sun room.  Here’s a peek of it in there.  It’s a much better fit there right?  What do you think, where do you like them?
