My obsession Rub n Buff meets furniture piece TV cabinet

If you are new here you might not know I am obsessed beyond obsessed with rub n buff.

You can see here some of the stuff that has already been transformed rubnbuff trans mmah

And so I thought I would take my obsession into the big leagues to play with the big boys lol

I received this piece while free cycling for a bar cabinet and this piece was a bonus {see full story here}
so I primed the outside and then rubbed on the rub and buff in silver leaf in small circles because I totally liked the motion in the color DSCN9772
It too me about 30-45 min to get the one side done and just one tube of rub and buffDSCN9782
and then I lived with it like that for about 3 weeks so I could decide that I did totally love it which I do….. don’t you this stuff is awesome
I decided to do the inside without the primer and am still pretty happy with how it turned out I think you still see movement not as mush as on the outside but its there….
can you see itIMG_2877IMG_2878
So altogether I ended up using 2 1/2 tubes for the whole piece @ 5 bux a pop totally worth it don’t you think??

Here’s the total

    Awesome! I am busy right now priming a laminate set of furniture and painting it silver. I’m wondering if the rub and buff would be easier after reading your post. Are you going over laminate? Do you think the finish could scratch off easily if it was in a high use area?
