I’ve moved yet again

Yes folks I’ve moved yet again.  I am now in a 3 bedroom apartment yet again. Life is just full of changes I pray this is a good one.  If you want to follow the shenanigans follow me on my Instagram or facebook page.  You can watch as I unpack boxes and boxes of white milk glass I swear it multiplies every time I pack/move.  This move was made possible by my amazing family, who I can not begin to thank enough.  On moving day I had all my sisters by side and that was a huge comfort for me.  In total I had 16 amazing family and friends there to getter done.  And oh boy did we.  I mistakenly rented a little truck {way too little} which was way too tiny for all my crap.  I think we ended up making 4 trips.  Luckily I stayed in the same town I was in {and grew up in}.  I should have know I needed a much bigger truck, oh well mental note for the next move.  lol

When I lost my love one of my first concerns was “where we live”.  From the first moment that reality really sunk in I knew I would move out of his home.  There were way to many memories of him there.  Way too many dreams we didn’t get the chance to live there.  I wanted needed a fresh start.  I think it was the right move for me and J and the baby.  Only time will tell.  Life is for the living and you have to keep breathing.  Is what I tell myself.  So this is us moving on with our lives once again.

If you’ve been following me for a while, then you might remember I just gave up my old apartment last November.  And believe it of not we still had boxes that had yet to be unpacked from that move.  So this move had double the boxes I think.  We {my sisters & I} got free boxes from our local supermarket.  Did you know you can get boxes there for free.

[Tweet “MOVING TIP get FREE boxes at your local supermarket ;-)”]

The egg boxes make the best moving boxes as they have notched out handles on each side.  I packed 80 of them myself.  Yes folks I counted,  on moving day there were over 150 boxes.  My family & friend really love me to haul all my stuff.

As you can see in picture above this apartment is quite colorful.  Something I am not.  So first up on the agenda paint, paint & more paint.  Won’t you follow along and tell me what you think as I make changes to this new apartment.  Sign up above to receive an email when I post.

Stay tunned…xoxo Arod

I had to laugh at you saying your apt is colorful..something you are not lol. I can’t wait to see how you transform this place Anj. Knowing you, it’s going to be totes chic! I can’t believe you had boxes upon boxes to unpack like that. I know how stressful moving is indeed. That’s why we said we are going to crap out in this house for sure rather than move again lol. You are such a strong person. I can’t express how much I admire and love you for that! I wish you were my sis too…well..we are blogging sistas anyways right? lol. All my positive vibes and prayers are always with you! XOXO

You gave me a giggle too with “something I am not.” I knew you had a lot of boxes, but whoa not that many. You made a really difficult decision to move (one of life’s biggest stresses) during a time one should not be making any decisions at all. I am very proud to call you my friend. I hope you have a quiet and blissful time here in your new home and I also am amazed that your are painting already.

I read about your loss, and I am so sorry. Moving will be a new start, and a purging. I did not lose my husband, but I lost both parents, my mom while I was pregnant with what would have been her first grandchild. I had to go through everything in her apartment. That was 11 years ago. Blessings to you and your family.

  4. Moving is hard enough without adding the loss of your love. Thanks for sharing your story with Small Victories Sunday linkup. Pinned to our linkup board.
