June furniture refresh with stain

It’s June time for a furniture refresh with stain.  I love working with this awesome group of girls who join this challenge.  I feel its a great way to kick my butt into gear when all I want to do is sit and watch my pallet garden grow.  This little table I found in a thrift store has been sitting around here for a couple of months (since January).  Just waiting to get a new look.

Furniture refresh with stain

Here’s a look at the before

I started by sanding the top and once I saw how lovely it was I knew I would stain it.  The legs are great and their what drew me to this piece.  But the thought of sanding those just wasn’t an option for me.  So they got some nice white chalk paint which I thought would make the top pop even more.

I used my favorite stain Jacobeen from minwax

I just love what a rich deep brown it is.

This little table is now ready to party.

Be sure to stop by and see what the other ladies did with their pieces its such great inspiration.

I love that you painted the legs and stained the top. What a gorgeous table!!! At first I thought it was a log top table…so much prettier than the first impression. I like the color of stain you chose, I will have to give it a try!
