how to get a brick wall with walls republic
Even though I live in an apartment, I like to think I have great vision. I have now created a brick wall looking corner in my living room. Thank to Walls Republic who asked me to check out there wall paper. I have another project I did coming up soon. You won’t even believe where else I used it.
I was able to go on there site and get 5 swatches for FREE. You can too just go on their site Walls Republic.com. They will send you these, what I thought pretty huge swatches. It can be overwhelming to choose and for this brick paper I ordered I hadn’t even gotten in my swatch list. When I saw the great look and feel of the ones I had ordered I went with my gut and ordered a roll of brick. I am so beyond thrilled with how this corner has turned out.
I just picked up some glue at my local paint store. I know that you can get it just about any hardware store. I totally plan on building some sort of mantel for this corner. I have visions of my grandson hanging a stocking on this mantel. But let’s get back to the wall paper that started all these visions.
I had my girlfriend stop by one afternoon and was able to wrangle her into helping me hang it. Not that you really need two people for a little corner like this. It just made it easier on me. Not having to come up and down the stairs as much as she was able to pass me anything I needed.
Also she was able to take funny pictures she is multi talented. Thank you so much my friend. 😉
I used a brush to put paint the paste onto the walls. Here’s my list of tools.
Trim Guide With Stainless Steel Blade,
Snap Off Knife,
A clean wet rag to clean up any excess glue.
So you see even while living in an apartment you can create a fabulous feature wall.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I’m now loving this corner of my living room. I have great expectations for it. And it all started with a roll of wall paper. Thanks so much Walls Republic.
Pin it for later.
Be sure and come back next week and see the big project!!
