Easy and Affordable Christmas Decor
Here are two easy and affordable Christmas Decor items that I recently made that might inspire you to make some Christmas decorations using items that you already have.
The first is this ribbon wrapped vase. I used a plain, clear $1 vase that I got from Dollar Tree and some leftover gold ribbon from my abundant ribbon stash. I made ribbon wrapped vases in the Spring to hold freshly cut tulips and I really liked the look. Why not do the same thing with gold ribbon for Christmas!
For the second vase, I just wrapped a length of silver cord around it. It took seconds, and I really like how simple and pretty it looks. I looked through my craft supplies and spotted these jingle bells that I had leftover from another project and thought, why not?
After making these, which took about 10 minutes, I was inspired to go around the house and gather up any vessels that I could make into great looking Christmas decor.
Then I went to Michaels on Sunday with coupons in hand and bought a bunch of stems that were on sale. So together with those and supplies that I have on hand, I’ll be able to create more easy and affordable Christmas decor items!
So before going out and spending lots of money, go through your house and see what you can use to create your own unique Christmas decorations.
