coffee table #3 + sista test

Coffee table 3 because who doesn’t need 3 coffee tables right lol
OK so no one needs 3 coffee tables but this one was in my neighbors trash and I just couldn’t leave it there now that I blog I’ve seen so many amazing trash to treasure redo’s that I knew this lil baby had some life left in it yet

My sista M asked me for this table as the day I found was the same day her & I did some garage sale hunting and she scored these fabulous side tables (Yes people I’m still bummed I didn’t sit on them first and claim them as mine) but aren’t they an awesome find for $8 bux uh duh yeah!!! lol

anyway so back to the test part of this post you see I’m under the sneaky suspicion that my sista doesn’t read my blog I used to send her the emails every time they came out (cause oh yeah I subscribe to my own blog why not right or is that crazy) and then one day I’m talking with her and I say omg I’ve got to show you what I saw on Better After and she says to me oh I saw it too I check that blog all the time{huh what whoa stop the presses} so she check’s someone else’s blog and not mine so I’ve stopped forwarding the emails and now here is the test – My sista if you are reading this this table is yours if you still want it I just wanted to have a lil fun painting it and I know you will change it up if you so desire but I painted it with you in mind as you now happen to be on a black & white kick (wonder where you got that from) Imitation is the highest form of flattery right so whateva- and if you don’t want the table still no worries J has plans for it
Ok people now back to our regularly scheduled talk of painting lol
so this table got a redo with some
Krylon black spray paint
some grey OOps paint used also on my Donna dresser
and white gloss paint
1 Spray paint first & then painted sides & legs the grey oops paintIMG_4409
2 tape off a design & finish edges of grey oops paintIMG_4466
3 first coat of white paint with just moist brush so as not to mess up lines I was trying to get clean lines

4 another coat of white paint this time w roller & I just went right over tapeIMG_4790
5 now paint cross legs underneath with white as well for a lil pop of color from the bottom as well & make sure to remove tape from the top while paint is still wet  – yes I did the cross brace painting on my kitchen table I happen to be a neat painter it’s my gift
